The New Ghirardelli Square

As many of you know Ghirardelli Square is undergoing a major transformation, including new residences (fractional ownership) and new retailers. Sally Hirshfield, Sales Executive for Fairmont Heritage Place was kind enough to provide us with an update of what’s going on.

Here you go….

Right now the square is under renovation.  The five larger buildings have been gutted and earthquake retrofitted.  Soon they will be putting in the two and three bedroom residences. Occupancy is expected to be in January or February of 08. The plaza has been ripped up, and we are completely renovating the landscaping and the square.  That should be finished this summer.

We have been offering our Founding Memberships but have now sold out of those.  We now have 50 Charter Memberships available – those are eligible for a 10% discount.   Our pricing is in the low $200,’s for the two bedroom, and the low $300′s for the three bedroom.  This is for a one tenth interest which gives you 35 days.

Tenant update as of March 1, 2007

  1. A Private Residence Club at Ghirardelli Square with a butler, a private chef, and unparalleled views of the Bay! How can anyone resist? We couldn’t and purchased one from Sally Hirshfield. Her enthusiasm and excitement was contagious as my tentative husband quickly signed the paperwork! Looking forward to being a part-time San Francisco resident in 2008:)
